How it all started

Background & History

Divine Royal International College Nkpor is the product of a mandate handed over to our Executive Director Rev. Mrs. Nches Iredu, by God. Through vision, God had mandated her to set up a world-class citadel of learning where high school children can be refined in mind, character, and in learning. Established on the 24th of September, 2007, the school has grown like the Biblical mustard seed, waxing strong over the years and today, measuring as one of the best schools in Eastern Nigeria and the entire country.
Beyond being a member of the prestigious Council of British International Schools (COBIS), National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and Association of Independent Schools in Africa (AISA); Divine Royal International College has over its years of existence clinched several international, national and regional awards of excellence both in academics, in sporting and also in extra-curricular competitions…

International Achievements

  • In 2014, DRIC participated in a Mathematics Competition organized by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN) DRIC Emerged First in the Junior Category.
  • In February 2015 DRIC was given a rare slot to participate in the COBIS World Debate in Bucharest, Romania, and despite the short notice, we emerged in the third position.
  • In February 2016, DRIC was given another slot to participate in the COBIS World Debate in Mexico, and we emerged in 2nd position.

National Achievements

  • 37th Top Secondary School in Nigeria enlisted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC)
  • 1st position in a science Quiz Competition organized by the University of Ibadan, Alumni Association Anambra State Branch
  • 2nd position in a science Quiz competition organized by the National institute of physics
  • 2nd position in the South-East level of NNPC organized a science Quiz competition
